It’s always nice to know what to expect and how things work. I thought I would give you a little glimpse into the workflow of a typical newborn photo session from start to finish. A lot of work goes into a session even before the first image is captured. I will work with you to select your colours for your session, any special captures you want and give you info on how to prepare for your session so you and baby are at your most comfortable.
I am happy to now be offering Newborn Wrapped Sessions. These sessions are great for people who only want a few great portraits of baby. Sessions are a quick 45-60 minutes where baby stays wrapped and cozy. Choose 2 colours to compliment your set. Wraps, hats, hairbands and other small props are available for use. Sessions are for baby only. If you would like to add sibling, parent or family portraits, a full session must be booked.
It is so great great getting back into the studio again! It seems like forever since my last newborn session. Now that things are getting back to normal, I am happy to be able to accept newborn bookings again (with covid safety protocols in place). I have missed them so much. And what a great little one I met the other day. So cute – and was the perfect sleepy baby to get back into the swing of things again.
Like everything else these days Christmas Sessions were done a bit differently this year – and I loved them! Sessions were held outdoors, and I’ve gotta say they were so much fun! I think this may be a new way to offer Christmas portraits in the years to come. We took advantage of an unseasonably warm weekend and it was great even though it was not your typical snowy winter day. I’ll take that over the cold and wind any day. A few Christmasy props and some cheery and happy little ones and everyone got those great shots for their Christmas cards.
Every year I have great pleasure of photographing this beautiful family. I believe this is the 7th year for their family portraits and I love, love, love seeing their family grow and change. I almost feel like a part of their family and I love that the kids look forward to seeing me to document their stages in life.
Fall has to be the most popular time of the year for portraits. Who doesn’t love the colours, the smells and the feeling of change. I love doing these sessions and have found many beautiful locations to shoot in around the city. What better way to spend the afternoon than out in the fresh air having fun with the family.
I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful new family at their home the other day for a newborn lifestyle session. Everything about her was so sweet. I loved seeing mom and dad interact with their new little one in their own environment. I think it is so special to have these kinds of portraits in your home to remind you of that time when they were so tiny.
I can not wait for the spring! Luckily it is almost here. What a better way to celebrate than with these limited sessions available on March 4th, 5th and 7th. I am ready for the bright colours and flowers of spring! Visit my SPECIALS page to book your session now!
