About

HELLO!

I am a photographer specializing in family, newborn, baby and kids photography, since 2009. Capturing connections between families, showing just how tiny & squishy newborns are, and how playful and carefree little ones can be is what it’s all about for me. With over 15 years experience, I strive to make each session an enjoyable and memorable experience, as well as creating beautiful lasting captured moments.

Having a background in architectural design and building sciences, I also love photographing buildings and unique places in my spare time. Commercial photography is actually where I started my professional photography journey and one day hope to add this back into my services.

Photography is my passion and I am so happy to be able to do this for a living. I can’t wait to meet you and your family!

THE STUDIO

Family portraits are shot on location or in your home. My home studio is where I photograph newborns and babies. It is a warm and cozy environment perfect for relaxing while I capture your little one’s portraits. Sit back, kick your feet up and listen to music, watch tv, or just take some time out to relax and recharge. My studio is stocked with a vast colour selection of blankets and wraps for newborns, as well as some props, hats and headbands for your little one to use. My home studio is also where I photograph cake smash sessions. Can’t wait for you to visit some time soon!

RELAXED FUN SESSIONS

I strive to create a relaxed environment in which you and your family can be yourselves and have a little fun. I will get to know you and your family even before we meet in person through a questionnaire to help me tailor your session to you.

PROFESSIONALLY EDITED IMAGES

Capturing an image correctly in camera is a big part of a portrait, but a professionally edited image stands out even more. Colour correction, touch ups, resizing and giving your portraits that extra little pop are all part of the editing process.

CAPTURING ORGANIC MOMENTS

I love to capture natural organic moments. I believe that more traditional posed images can be captured tastefully and artfully and love to include these, but it’s those candid in-between moments that hold a special place in your heart. I provide posed, guided candid and natural candid portraits for each session.

PRE-SESSION PREPARATION

For me your session starts even before we meet for the shoot. Discovering new shooting locations, building sets, and getting to know you before we meet are just a few things that happen before the first click of the camera. Information guides for each session type are provided upon booking so you know what to expect at your session and what you can do to prepare.

POST SESSION GUIDANCE

After your session is complete and your images have been delivered, I am still here to answer any questions you may have and to help you out. From making prints, posting your images online, resizing for different uses and anything else you may need – feel free to reach out any time!
